Rich Earl Grey Syrup

Earl Grey syrup is a versatile and delicious addition to various beverages and desserts. It's made by infusing Earl Grey tea leaves in a simple syrup, resulting in a sweet and aromatic liquid with a distinct citrusy flavor from the bergamot oil in the tea.

Ingredients

Amount Ingredient
400 grams 600 grams 800 grams 1200 grams White Sugar
200 grams 300 grams 400 grams 600 grams Strong Earl Grey Tea

Method:

  1. Steep 4 to 6 earl grey tea bags in 200 grams (~1 cup) boiling water for 10 to 15 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and add sugar.
  3. Over low heat, stir until sugar is dissolved (don’t boil!).
  4. Remove from heat and let cool.
