The Great Philly Trip with the Gaf Boys
The main premise of the weekend was to see the Body Worlds exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. The fact that it was in Philly didn't hurt either. The idea of the weekend was to see some dead people in artistic poses, eat some cheese steaks and just hang.
So at 9am, a little worse for wear, I arrived a Penn Station and immediately went to McDonald's for coffee, hash browns and an Egg McMuffin. I then proceeded to attempt to locate the boys. It was actually pretty easy. I found Steve at a Krispy Kreme on the way to the big board, and Joe and Brad by the big board. We stood around waiting for Amtrak to announce our track number while Steve ate his donuts and I ate my Egg McMuffin, etc. We then got on the Acela and found 4 seats facing each other and settled in for our hour and a half trip to Philly. The Acela was a score. Our train was delayed and we got upgraded for free. Steve taught us Euchre to pass the time, which it did admirably. Once we got to 30th Street Station in Philly, we jumped in a cab, and we were off to our hotel. And the trip to Philly began!
