Ingredients

  • 24 oz / 678 g semi-sweet chocolate

  • 2 c / 400 g sugar

  • 1.25 c rum

  • 12 T light corn syrup

  • 8 c crushed vanilla wafers (approx. 50)

  • 4 c / 560 g ground walnuts

  • sugar to coat

Method

In a saucepan, melt chocolate over low heat.

When melted, remove from the heat and stir in the sugar, rum and corn syrup.

Fold in wafers and nuts.

Shape mixture into 1 inch diameter balls and roll in sugar.

Store in airtight container for three days before eating.
