  • 2 c / 454 g butter

  • 2 c / 400 g sugar

  • 2 egg

  • 2 t vanilla

  • 2 c / 280 g poppy seeds

  • 4.5 c / 540 g flour

  • 1 t cinnamon

  • 0.5 t mace (or nutmeg)

  • 0.5 t / 3 g salt

Poppy Seed Cookies

Method

  1. Combine into smooth dough.
  2. Divide dough in half and form log.
  3. Roll in more sugar.
  4. Chill for 1 hour.
  5. Slice into ¼ inch rounds, place on cookie sheet and bake 10-12 min in 325F oven.
