  • 0.5 lb / 227 g fresh cranberries or 1 sixteen ounce package frozen cranberries

  • 0.75 c / 150 g sugar

  • 0.5 c / 169 g red current preserves

  • 0.5 c / 114 g water

  • 0.5 c / 70 g coarsely chopped walnuts

  • 1 T grated orange peel

Method

Combine cranberries, preserves, sugar and water in large saucepan.

Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Skim foam, remove from heat. Stir in walnuts and orange peel

Refrigerate, covered, overnight.
