This is the Germany style of a crepe or pancake. They have no sugar, so they are more like a savoury crepe.
Method
- separate the eggs, beat whites until medium peaks
- mix other ingredients
- fold in egg whites
- over medium heat, add approx. 1/2 cup to and oiled pan
- cook for about 2 minutes a side until golden brown (you can keep them warm in the oven if you want to serve them all at once)
- You can serve with any fillings you like.
Common toppings are:
- sugar with lemon
- cinnamon sugar
- Nutella/chocolate sauce
- ice cream
- black cherries
- honey
- jam
