I learned this from my grandmother. I love it with peaches, but it's great with plums and apples.
Method
- Mix pastry. It will be wet like a cake batter.
- Spread on the bottom of a 9x12 inch pan. Should be about a little more than 1/4 - 1/2 inch thick.
- Slice your fruit into thin wedges and arrange is single, slightly overlapping layer.
- Then mix the topping and pour even over the fruit.
- Bake at 350F/180C for approximately 45 minutes or until the topping is bubbling all over and the pasty light brown.
